Stephanie Stoglin-Reed

High School: Graduated from Booker T Washington High School in 2000.

All-State...four-time All-Conference...conference Player of the Year as a sophomore...chosen Tulsa World Metro Player of the Year...twice selected Green County Player of the Year...twice named to the Tulsa World All-Metro Team...considered the No. 2 player in Oklahoma and one of the top 50 in the country...chosen by USA Today as one of the top players to watch...led team to 5A regional championship title while playing for coach Annette Kennedy....averaged 20.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game as a senior...three-time team MVP...also chosen TCI Cable’s Female Player of the Year. Tulsa World player of the Year 2000.

College: As a player, Stoglin-Reed played at Kentucky from 2000-02, Memphis from 2002-04 and finished her career at Houston Baptist in 2004-05. In her lone season at Houston Baptist, she was named a Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-American, a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) All-American, a runner-up for NAIA Player of the Year honors, Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) Player of the Year, Red River Conference Player of the Year, Red River Conference Newcomer of the Year and All-Red River Conference First Team selection. Stoglin-Reed graduated from Houston Baptist in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science degree in business management/art. Stoglin-Reed brings nearly a decade of collegiate coaching experience and spent the last two seasons as Associate Head Coach at Charleston Southern University before stepping away from coaching to dedicate time with her children.

Prior to Charleston Southern she spent 2 seasons as recruiting coordinator at the University of Southern Mississippi. She has experience as an assistant at schools in Conference USA, the Big 12 Conference and Sun Belt Conference.

Prior to her time in Hattiesburg, Stoglin-Reed spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Marshall University, where she played an instrumental role in bringing the top-rated recruiting class in Conference USA history to Huntington in 2017.

In addition to her work on the recruiting trail, she coached the post players and served as the academic adviser for the Thundering Herd. Stoglin-Reed played a role in the development of Talequia Hamilton, who ranked eighth in C-USA in scoring at 14.7 points per game and third in the conference in blocked shots at 1.5 per game.

Stoglin-Reed also spent one season on the staff at Kansas State, where she helped the Wildcats return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2011-12 season, reaching the Round of 32 in the process. She coached First Team All-Big 12 center Brianna Lewis, who was selected 23rd overall by the Dallas Wings in the 2017 WNBA Draft.

She spent the 2014-15 season as an assistant at Texas State, where she helped lead the Bobcats to a 17-15 record, including 11 wins in Sun Belt play.

Stoglin-Reed began her collegiate coaching career on the mens side as a director of player development at North Texas, where she handled all film exchange, managed all recruiting correspondence and led individual film sessions, in addition to be an academic liaison for the Mean Green.
